Black Excellence in education is empowered by uninhibited Black educators speaking into learning experiences. Also, by creating safe and welcoming black spaces within our current systems that encourage black learners to be their authentic selves. By working in a community together, creating, learning, leading, and thriving with loud expectation-we belong. Black Excellence in Madison needs spaces where there is a mission…an understanding, and a willingness to embrace our own greatness as a people, and to normalize thought-freedom from the notion that we-Black People, need to conform to Eurocentric cultural norms in order to be successful.
