2024 Campaign
There’s still time to be a part of this historic moment, and we need you!
We have come so far since 2021 when 300 Black donors helped us launch our transformative vision for a Black cultural center. We knew then and we know more than ever today, that a unique, beautiful space that supports Black joy, Black innovation, and Black creativity will ignite a dramatic increase in Black wellness and Black wealth. The Center for Black Excellence and Culture is led, designed, and inspired by over 700 Black influencers and it is exactly what we need to create a shift in the quality of life in Wisconsin.
Thanks to many of you and over 1,100 individuals, businesses, and foundations, we’ve raised $30 million and we’re just $1.8 million away from a debt-free building. We are so close.
Now is the time to give! If you haven’t had a chance to donate, now is the time to join with us. Thanks to generous matching gifts from IncredibleBank Foundation, Brewers Community Foundation, and an anonymous donor, all donations received through December 31 will be doubled up to $160,000.
If you are one of our amazing supporters, we appreciate you and are so grateful for any additional generosity you might consider to help us cross the finish line.
Madison needs The Center for Black Excellence and Culture.
Every donor that gives to The Center (no matter the gift size) will be recognized on our beautiful African Drum Wall. We want to celebrate every person who cares about making our region and state a place where when Black people thrive everyone thrives. Right now, Wisconsin is rated one of the worst places in the country for Black people. We know that with your help, we can change the narrative and make it one of the best.
Please consider a gift to The Center this year, have your name celebrated inside the building, and help us construct a debt-free Center!
It’s easy to give online through ApplePay, GooglePay, Venmo, Paypal, or a credit card.
If you wish to pay by check or give a gift of stock, please click below more instructions.
Give today and together we will take a historic step forward in helping Greater Madison and the entire state become a place where Black people thrive.
Help me make history and to create space that will make Wisconsin home for Black folks. ”
